Don't Be Afraid to Do Things Differently

In this video, I walk you through several situations where I went against what others thought I should or would be able to do. I fought to get a job in investment banking when no one thought it was possible. I went to career fairs and networked until finally getting a job at Bank of America. Later, after working 4 years in New York I spent a year living in Latin America before applying to business school and later got into Wharton. After business school, I moved to Colombia to work in private equity. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for and I realized I wanted to become an entrepreneur. I'm not sure I made the right decision at this point to quit my job and jump into the deep end of the pool and start a business with no savings and gave up my stable income. The few following years weren't easy as I had several businesses not work out as I hoped. Now, I run a digital marketing agency, have some income from that business while at the same time I start a side hustle on YouTube. This is a much safer way to start a business. I wish Patrick McGinnis' book 10 Percent Entrepreneur had come out a few years earlier before quitting my job. If you want me to do videos on any of the topics I discussed in this video, please leave in the comments section: working in investment banking, living in Latin America, side hustle, digital marketing, starting a business, etc.
